Angola Prison Ministries

Once a month, a team of 15+ lay and clergy from Grace Church and other local churches participate in the celebration of the Eucharist at Angola State Penitentiary. The men who attend the service at Church of the Transfiguration, whom society calls the least among us, have an opportunity to hear at the altar of God how much God loves them and forgives them. For some this is the only opportunity for resurrection in their lives. Bishop Charles Jenkins visits and celebrates the Eucharist once a year at Angola and typically confirms several inmates. Grace Church also provides financial support for this ministry.
