Katrina Relief and Gulf Coast Recovery

Members of Grace participated in a community wide feeding program for displaced families during the immediate aftermath of Katrina. Mission teams visited both the City of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast to help in rebuilding projects. Additionally, a group of Grace members raised money for the renovation of an old family home to prepare it to be occupied by three New Orleans residents displaced by the hurricane. Grace coordinated and hosted a movie night for children of displaced families residing at the local shelters just after the storm, to provide them with a fun outing.
